TYPE OF WORK/WORK ENVIRONMENT
Many musicians spend a lot of time travelling from one venue to another. Others, however, spend their time in a recording studio recording their own vinyls.
SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED
The skills or knowledge required to this career choices are: musical talent, promotional skills, interpersonal skills, dedication and discipline.
MUSICAL TALENT. To become a musician, one must have musical abilities.
PROMOTIONAL SKILLS. Many musicians need to be able to promote their performances whether it is online, on a poster, etc. Being able to have good promotional skills can lead to a successful making of a fanbase.
INTERPERSONAL SKILLS. Due to the fact that musicians work with a variety of people, they will need to have good interpersonal skills to create good relationships.
DEDICATION. It can be really hard for many people to keep going after auditioning many times and getting rejected. One must be able to be dedicated to this career regardless of how many positions you auditioned for, or how many times you have gotten rejected.
DISCIPLINE. Having musical talent does not guarantee that they will be given a position in this field. Musicians must practise and work harder to improve their skills.

The annual income for a musician is approximately $26,933 a year.

IMPROVING. Every musician should be able to improve their skills to progress in the indrustry.
PERFORMING. A musician often performs in front of an audience, so it would be great if the person who wants to become a musician to be able to perform in venues.
COMMUNICATING. Musicians should be able to communicate with people as they often work with them. It is also important to be able to promote yourself/your group as you perform in venues, etc.
